Mary McGrath
AIA, NCARB, LEED® AP
Mary McGrath’s 25 years of experience has included all phases of professional design services from the crucial first step of community and stakeholder participation, through building design and construction administration. She has had full responsibility as principal-in-charge for a wide variety of community serving projects. Mary has refined her “operations based design” approach to developing master plans and facility programs and expanded its use through the development of many types of facilities.
She enjoys working with clients and staff to translate the client’s goals and dreams into the design of new facilities. As Principal-in-Charge, Mary is comfortable in the role of project “visioning” and in the creation of construction plans that follow. She has overseen dozens of multi-discipline teams of professionals (e.g. architects, engineers, planners, surveyors, landscape architects, and others) involved in community serving projects from concept through construction and takes great joy in the outcomes these collaborations create. As a “hands-on” architect Mary takes an active role in each project her firm takes on and has developed a practice that is based on principal level engagement at all phases of the work.
